Company-matched employee donations are a Laser Tech holiday tradition.

While there is always a big pool of worthy causes to choose from, Laser Tech is proud to send 2021’s donation to Food Bank of the Rockies. Their dedication to unite and improve the quality of life for as many communities as possible inspires us.

With Laser Tech’s headquarters located in the Denver area, we consider Food Bank of the Rockies to be our neighbors. They deserve support, and we want the world to know why.

Food Bank of the Rockies is the largest hunger-relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region. Their website proudly shares that they “coordinate with more than 800 Hunger Relief Partners throughout Colorado and Wyoming.”

Supporting this devoted organization helps expand the number of communities they can assist with several key operations:

Mobile Pantries deliver enough food to provide more than 657,000 meals to neighbors in need every month.
Food for Kids maintains a top priority of offering youth “a chance to embrace their childhood without worrying about food.”
EverGreen Boxes™ help older adults stay healthy by providing qualifying individuals 60 years or older with the nutrient-rich food they need to thrive

Some additional practices that advance the Food Bank’s mission to “ignite the power of community to nourish people facing hunger” include:

Gathering fresh produce from grocery stores, restaurants, other entities that might have a surplus that could spoil if unused
Their Culturally Responsive Food Initiative, which uses localized surveys to develop new food lists that echo and celebrate the unique cultural diversity of different service areas
Sponsoring food drives that land all donations in the hands of distribution partners at no cost
